We’ve decided to start a web series called Behind The Keys to document the inner workings of Improbable Escapes (and a bit of our ridiculousness)! The web series will include a monthly live video to ask our game development team some questions.
Now that spring has finally decided to arrive to us here in the great white North, people are beginning to venture out of their hibernation and are looking for things to do!

One agitated historians views and opinions on the future of the Kingston Pen. Kingston’s heritage isn’t a money-making endeavor. You can’t cut corners to keep it affordable. It requires great investment and greater care, but if we really cared about the legacy of the Kingston Penitentiary, we would make it worth it.

You would think as an escape room business we would have a million keys to carry around and combinations to remember … And you would be correct, however we have found ourselves in some interesting situations as well.
Special thanks to Kingston Fire and Rescue for saving us during a ridiculously embarrassing moment. Remember kids, smoke machines can set off fire alarms.
This is just a quick lesson. Don’t run smoke machines indoors without ventilation. It may or may not set off a fire alarm … where an entire historic national site has to evacuate.
I am all too familiar with not wanting to vote and have heard all of these excuses from my friends and family. However it is a destructive failure of imagination to believe that just because you will probably never cast the deciding ballot in an election or single handily shape the course of Canadian politics, that your vote does not matter.
