We have an active screening protocol for all employees prior to them coming into work. It screens them for any signs of COVID-19, and follows the Ontario Self Assessment.

Improbable Escapes has rapid antigen test kits as an additional screening tool for employees on an as-needed basis.

As per the Ontario screening rules, If an employee exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms they are required to stay home for 5 days and until their symptoms have been improving for at least 24 hours. The 5 days start from the date symptoms began.

Face masks are welcome to be worn in our facility, but are no longer required as of March 21, 2022

Hand sanitizer is located in all working and high traffic areas, alongside hospital-grade sanitization products to keep workspaces safe.

Employees are actively receiving vaccinations and boosters.

Sanitization equipment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Multiple hospital grade and commercial Ultraviolet Radiation/”germicidal” lamps are placed in spaces where every surface is exposed to ensure the destruction of a present virus. These lamps have a wavelength of 265 nm, which is the peak wavelength for germicidal activity.
  • Mikro Quat by EcoLab, a hard-surface disinfectant for use against coronavirus, which is on Health Canada’s list of disinfectants expected against all strains of SARS-CoV-2, are used frequently on all facility surfaces with one-time-use rags.
  • Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes EPA #777-114 are used as an additional disinfectant wipe to kill strains of SARS-CoV-2.

The above is a portion of our protocols, and is not an exhaustive list. Please contact us if you’d like more information.

As of March 1, 2022, QR codes (proof of vaccination) are no longer needed upon entry.

As of March 21, 2022, guests and players at Improbable Escapes are not required to wear face masks inside our facilities.

We continue to be a mask positive environment.

We do! We also receive surprise COVID-19 inspections, and we have been told we are going above and beyond provincial requirements. Improbable Escapes has never received any infractions.

We no longer offer delivery. We offer free in-store pickup or shipping for a flat rate.

We will not make any exceptions to our policies. Our policies ensure the safety of our employees and customers.

We love and appreciate receiving this question.

You can make a booking for an online game, share the gift of escaping by buying yourself or a loved one a gift certificate, or buying a cup of coffee for our staff!

Please, be kind.

“The consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic can be overwhelming but also vary from person to person. For some, the virus barely registers, for others the impact is devastating for the individual, their family, and friends. And as we move forward through these difficult times, one can see the fall-out from this is going to be far reaching in this global village in which we all live…

Kindness, the effect of being friendly, generous, and considerate, costs nothing, but the impact of kindness on an individual can be immense. Not only does it affect how we feel but it also affects us physically. Hormones are released and stress levels are lowered in measurable ways. Mood is enhanced and anxiety and depression improve.” – King’s College, London

Front line workers and businesses can sometimes be caught in the crossfire of someone’s frustration with the pandemic. Please be kind to our team, as we are following the COVID regulations set out by the province, while also confirming the directives with our municipal and provincial Public Health, and various ministries.

Our goal right now is to provide you with happy moments; entertainment that can be shared with loved ones whether through an escape room or by playing board games. We want to be a bit of a bright light for you in these dark times.
