About Wonderland

A unique gaming experience that offers fantastical
family fun with a touch of nostalgia.

Adventure and fun collide at Improbable Escapes: Wonderland & Board Game Cafe, a full-service board game cafe and escape room facility in the west end of Kingston.

Here, our philosophy is that fun should always be top of mind… so Kingston, it’s time to get your game face on.

Kingston’s west-end answer to family-friendly entertainment, Improbable Escapes: Wonderland gives a whole new meaning to, “Double the fun.” Here’s why: we decided to take the traditional escape room idea (which is awesome, if we do say so ourselves!), and give it a little twist by also offering a full-service board game cafe.

Themed around famed children’s novel Alice in Wonderland, the lounge currently stocks nearly 600 carefully-chosen games that will appeal to children of all ages, so whether you are frazzled parents trying to find something fun and unique to do with your little ones, are out with your friends or have planned a night out with a special someone, we guarantee you’ll have an absolute blast.

If you want to give your IQ score a test, check out our first escape rooms, which are based on Peter Pan’s The Lost Boys, or Snow White’s Seven Dwarfs.

Neverland: Heist on the High Seas has you and your team members held captive in the dark bowels of a ship by the one and only Captain Hook. You have one hour to take control and escape Hook’s clutches…can you do it before time runs out and you’re forced to walk the plank?

Or perhaps Seven Dwarfs: Mining Mission is the adventure you seek. Can you destroy the Evil Queen’s poisonous apple once and for all?

If you’re feeling a little peckish while you’re getting your game face on, no worries. We take “full service” literally, and have a food menu (complete with alcoholic bevvys) for you to choose from. And if you’re planning a celebration, good news: we’ve got you covered in that aspect, too. Wonderland is also home to a party room, which is perfect for unique, adventure-filled shindigs.
